Esol Classes
Haitian American Public Health Initiatives (HAPHI) offers a vital service to newly arrived Haitian and other migrants by providing English for Speakers of Other languages (ESOL) classes at no cost. These classes serve as a foundational resource for individuals seeking to improve their English proficiency, thereby facilitating smoother integration into their new community, and enhancing their opportunities for employment and social engagement. Held from Monday to Thursday between 9:30 am to 11:30 am, the conveniently scheduled classes ensure accessibility for participants, enabling them to balance their language learning journey with other responsibilities.
By offering these ESL classes, HAPHI not only addresses the immediate linguistic needs of newly arrived Haitian migrants but also fosters a supportive environment for cultural exchange and community building. Beyond language acquisition, these classes serve as a platform for individuals to connect with fellow migrants, share experiences, and access additional resources and support networks. Through this service, HAPHI contributes to the empowerment and integration of Haitian migrants, enabling them to navigate and thrive in their new environment with confidence and resilience.
